Position Profile:
Performance of US/Vascular procedures for a 25-bed critical access hospital. Studies include: renal, renal artery doppler, abdomen/pelvic, thyroid, head/neck soft tissue, scrotal, breast, focal soft tissue mass or lump, upper and lower extremity venous, upper and lower extremity arterial, carotid, aorta, ABI, thoracentesis, paracentesis, thyroid biopsy, OB (only through ER or inpatient)
What you do:

Under direction of the radiologist, utilizes equipment producing two/ three-dimensional high frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the human body for use in diagnosis of disease or organ malfunctions.

Participate with physicians in reading sonographs and making diagnostic judgments based on test results.
What you need:

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (RVT), CCI or (ARRT). If registry eligible, must be registered by the ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound within 1 year of your hire date. Preferred additional (ARRT)(RT

Registered CPR BLS Certification, thru American Heart Association

Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of sonography or radiology


Experience: Experience necessary to demonstrate competence. 1 year experience preferred.
