Fully furnished housing with a private bedroom, semi-private bathroom with a suite mate, kitchen, and washer/dryer is provided for $20/week along with and a competitive salary of $12.
75 an hour.
The primary responsibility for individuals in this position is to independently lead K-12 grade students through multidisciplinary classes in an outdoor setting.
Class subjects offered include life and earth science, ecology, team building, outdoor skills, and living history.
Other responsibilities include animal care, maintenance of teaching areas and resources, facilities, grounds, and support of general operations of the facility.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
Commitment, genuine interest in child development, dynamic personality, well developed communication skills, creativity, and leadership ability.
Skill in teaching a wide variety of subjects to K-12 grade youth Broad knowledge of outdoor education and able to work in an outdoor setting.
Ability to communicate effectively with youth and adults.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work with and care for live teaching animals (reptiles, amphibians, and others).
Willingness to be trained in high and low ropes course facilitation.
